My kids have recently been bitten by the Minecraft bug and I never was really into it so this is a complete new experience to me with how things work in the game. I've found that trying to find info on how to do things in Minecraft has been a pain in the ass especially ever since the Bedrock update came out which just creates another vector of how things work. Don't get me started on all the time I wasted trying to figure out mods on the Switch version. So getting to the core issue, my youngest created a world on my Series X under my account but now they're tying up usage of that TV to play Minecraft. I have an Xbox One X that I setup in another room but I can't figure out how to transfer that world over through cloud saves. The Xbox One X is also using my account too. Searching, it seems like everyone says you have to pay a month of service for a Realm in order to just simply move a world from one system to another. Am I reading this right? I have to pay just to move his world over to a different Xbox system? Please tell me there's some other way of handling this. I just assumed Xbox cloud saves would have taken care of this at the time.

How do I transfer my saved worlds from Minecraft Xbox One Edition to Minecraft for Xbox One?

You'll need to ensure you have the latest update to Minecraft by starting the game while connected to Xbox Live. Choose "Play" and navigate down to the bottom, here you will find a button called "Sync Old Worlds". Select this button and choose the world you would like to transfer. You can do this as often as you like, but you can only transfer one world at a time.

.

Did this not work?

edit: now that I remember Xbox One Edition and Minecraft for Xbox One are different because of the whole bedrock thing isn't it

If you're using the same profile and version of minecraft the world should just be there.

Heh yep. I know Bedrock was supposed to unify things, but man it just causes more confusion for me when trying to look up how to do something and you get conflicting info because people don't always specify which version they're talking about.
If you're using the same profile and version of minecraft the world should just be there.

It's not showing up so far and from what I can gather, there's nothing in the UI that lets you check or force a sync of your cloud data. Everything just says it'll automatically handle it. As far as I know, it's the same profile and same version of Minecraft.

Has the world been uploaded through the account associated.

This is a big missed opportunity for me, I'm always frustrated worlds don't transfer between platforms.

How do you check in the Xbox UI? Everything I read says it should just automatically happen and there's no UI to check.
